MEDICAL PHYSICS

CENUM has a well-equipped Medical Physics department comprising of qualified and trained Medical Physicists. This department is responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) of equipment in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology adhering to IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standards. This department also follows the PNRA regulations and IAEA guidelines for implementation of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to minimize radiation exposure while ensuring the smooth operation of radiation facilities. This department also facilitates teaching and training programs for pursuing MIT, FCPS and BS students from various universities. Moreover, this department provides ongoing skill enhancement courses for staff ensuring that they remain proficient in their expertise.
